Kudos for Ballert Orthopedics in Buffalo Grove, IL

My daughter Helen needed a tray to access her communication device at school. Helen pulls her arm away when she wants to press her switch when she wants to make the right choice. Her occupational therapist thought it would be a nice idea if Helen had something that would keep her arm in place when accessing her computer. That way her ATNR wouldn't prevent her from making an inconisistent or unintended selection. I looked at a peg board tray product that would have cost me $385.00 to buy new. Also, I would have had to submit the new tray as a claim to our insurance company which could have taken weeks to approve. Helen had an old tray from her wheelchair, and I took it into Harry at Ballert Orthopedics in Buffalo Grove, IL. Harry had his technicians drill holes in the old tray and provided straps to hold Helen's arm in place. We picked it up today, and it works great. I hope this does not get him into any trouble, but he did not charge us anything for making the changes to the tray. My thanks go out to Harry, and the rest of the Ballert team. It serves as just one more example of selfless people who serve our community. Harry has made our spinal vest, (called a TLSO), and our ankle foot orthotics, (called AFO's), and we have not had any trouble with Ballert, and their orthotics fit great from the start. I recommend Ballert. Ballert Orthotics has several locations throughout Chicagoland.
